In Dinosaur Simulator, DNA acts as the game's currency. It is used to buy new dinosaurs, dinosaur skins, and to make nests.
Earning DNA
DNA when they grow into Juveniles. This amount of DNA is varied depending on the growth rate of the dinosaur. Dinosaurs with a 1x Growth Rate Multiplier receive 40 dna, while ones with 2x GRM receives 80 and so on. When the player grows into an adult, they receive 80 dna which varies depending on the Growth Rate Multiplier once again. Dinosaurs with a 1x GRM receive 80 DNA while those with a 2x GRM receive 160 DNA. The amount of DNA earned in one day is capped at Day 25 and is also affected by the Growth Rate Multiplier. Dinosaurs with a 1x GRM earn 25 DNA, while those with a 2x GRM receive 50 and 3x GRM receive 75 per day.
Alternatively, the player may also buy DNA from the DNA Store. The amounts are limited to 10, 50(+10 DNA), 100(+25 DNA), 500(+155 DNA), 1000(+350 DNA), 2000(+800 DNA) and 5000(+2500 DNA)for the same amount of Robux as the former number listed.
Another way to get DNA is to buy a party box, which lets any/all players get DNA. Press the P key on the keyboard to call a Robux purchase prompt for 40 R$. When bought, a countdown shows up on the party box which opens to make DNA rain down from the sky when the countdown gets to 0. Do note that you are unable to collect the DNA yourself, meaning if you intend to purchase it for yourself, it's useless.
There is also a Daily Login bonus giving 100 DNA every 12 hours.
Trivia
- Before being changed, the DNA per day multiplier did not cap, instead of ending at 25 per day it kept on adding up. Therefore you could theoretically earn 100 dna per day if you survived for 100 days and so on. However, this was before you could save your dinosaurs progress, thus making it more difficult to exploit.
