Dimetrodon is an extinct genus of synapsid that lived during the Cisuralian in the Permian period, around 295–272 million years ago in a marshy or swampy habitat resembling the modern Everglades. It is a member of the family Sphenacodontidae which are well known for their sails. The Dimetrodon has a giant sail growing on it's back which was present in many other prehistoric animals like spinosaurids. The purpose of the sail still remains a mystery with people having many opinions about the use of the sail ranging from thermo-regulation to mating displays. The Dimetrodon's sail was not a full sail, but instead the sail was a fatty hump with skin reaching halfway up and the rest of the spines creating the sail, being exposed (Though it's not present in the Megavore although the study about Dimetrodon's half-sail was made in 2012, 4 years before Megavore was released).

This is probably what a Dimetrodon would look like.

Dimetrodon might have had fur along with thick elephant-like skin which we know it might have possesed from skin preservations on an another synapsid called Estemmenosuchus.

Dimetrodon is possibly a part of the Hybrid refered to as "Megavore" or "Mega".

This synapsid will never be added as it's own seperate animal to the game for many reasons like:

It didn't co-exist with the dinosaurs.

It isn't from the Mesozoic era.

It isn't related to dinosaurs and isn't a dinosaur.

It's a synapsid (Though Chicken might add a Mesozoic synapsid like Eomaia or Placerias one day although it is extremelly unlikelly)
