Archelon (Ark-el-on) (ruling turtle) was the largest sea turtle species ever discovered. It swam the seas of Late Cretaceous North America. Archelon was used often due to its combat capabilities before the Range update of Spring 2020.
Appearance[]
Archelon has green flippers with the front ones being longer while the back ones are shorter, its head is green with light green eyes, and the shell is grey with the shell being on the back of its torso and on the head. on the side of each shell are 5 spikes. The tail is short.

- The Archelon default skin somehow bleeds other dinosaurs which is not normal for regular real turtles in real life and might be a major bug.

The 1st Skin for Archelon, Easter Archelon is an Easter special skin added in the 5.8.0 update. This model was added in Early 2018 near April. It once had a slight defense buff. This skin is organized in between Rainbow and Glass recolor skins for Archelon.

It has a beige skin color, with a green shell containing a small striped Easter egg, some flowers, and patches of grass.

- The tip of the Easter Archelon's tail is bent, but when sprinting/accelerating, it is not bent.

Its shell is a pumpkin with a carved face near its head. The head of Archelon has red eyes and is connected to the 'Mouth' of the Shell. The head and the fins are orange with the fins having red circles and the head having red eyes

- Jack-o-Lantern Archelon is the 1st and only herbivorous aquatic creature in Dinosaur Simulator, it was going to be fixed but has not been updated so far as of November 22nd, 2021

The Reefback Archelon has a dark blue body, with 2 flippers, 3 tentacles-like whips, and a head with 2 blue eyes on each side with 7 cyan bioluminescent bulbs with the top of the head having a cyan horn. The torso under the shell has 3 spikes on each side with 8 bioluminescent bulbs. The Shell of the Reefback Archelon has 4 spikes on each side, with the shell covering the head of the skin. On the shell, are the same bioluminescent bulbs from its torso colored either green or purple, brown sea anemones, multiple colored corals in red, orange, purple, and pink, cyan rocks, and multiple sand areas.

The Kaiju Archelon has a dark blue armor with spikes on each side, it also has 4 flippers with each having 3 claws and 1 spike without viewable spike, It also has a neck, a head with 2 large teeth that are exposed on the lower jaw with green eyes, and a small tail. When flying, the Kaiju Archelon will have its back flippers gone with blue fire from the place of its flippers.

- Kaiju Archelon is based on specifically Gamera from the Netflix-exclusive animated series, Gamera Rebirth.[2]
- Due to a mistake, It's land walking speed is faster than it's land running speed (5/3). but this was shorty patch in the April Fools Update.
