The Baryonyx, or Bary, (ba-ree-on-IX) (heavy claw) is a medium-sized theropod. Baryonyx is one of the common Bot Dinosaurs (NPCs) that spawn in-game. A Badge Unlockable Dinosaur can be obtained by surviving for 5 Days as a Herbivore.
Appearance
The Baryonyx has a large tail suitable for a semi-aquatic lifestyle, sharp claws at its feet and hands, and a long head with a crest. Just like its Dinosaur Arcade Version, it has gray colors.

The 3rd Version of Baryonyx. It is displayed as "Classic Baryonyx V2" instead of "Classic Baryonyx V3" due to the 1st version being removed.
Appearance
The Classic Baryonyx V3 has a gray base color, with its underbelly being ocean blue. It has slightly darker blue spots sprinkled around the base of its body. It has black claws with pale brown ankle padding. On the tip of its tail, it has small, gray feathers sticking out, along with on the top of its forehead and small black eyes on its face.

The 2nd version of Baryonyx. Classic Baryonyx Version 2 has different roars from the Default Baryonyx, being it has the roars it originally had. It is displayed as "Classic Baryonyx" instead of "Classic Baryonyx V2" due to the 1st version being removed.

The Classic Baryonyx V2 is of Green Color all over its body, with the body being a little thin. Its head has a tiny crest over its eyes and spikes up the top of the head. The top of its mouth has a curve.

Kaiju Baryonyx is the 1st skin for Baryonyx. It is a part of the Kaiju Skin Collection. Kaiju Baryonyx has different roars from the Default Baryonyx.
Appearance
The Kaiju Baryonyx has blue color with most of the body having a dark blue color with its underbelly having a teal color, its dorsal plates have dark blue color with their size increasing as they are closer to the head. Near its lower jaw, are iguana like texture. Its eyes are yellow.
Trivia
- Kaiju Baryonyx's appearance is based on the Godzilla version from the 1998 film "Godzilla", the proportions for the skin are similar to the size of the creature in the film along with the roars which are directly taken from the film.
- Kaiju Baryonyx is also featured as a playable in Attack on Kaiju, with the same name but with different animations.

The Second Version of Kaiju Baryonyx, it is displayed as "Classic Kaiju Baryonyx" instead of "Classic Kaiju Baryonyx V2" due to the 1st version being removed.
Appearance
Kaiju Baryonyx has blue tints on its body: Dark blue tints on its forehead, with a slightly lighter blue on its bike spikes, from its head to the upper side of its neck to its tail are of a darker blue tint than the forehead. The rest of the body is lighter blue from the jaw and arms/legs as well as the bottoms of the tail to the neck. Kaiju Baryonyx also has a scar on its right eye, similar to its original version.

Birthday Baryonyx or Birthday Bary was a limited skin sold from March 20th to March 25th, 2017 to celebrate Dinosaur Simulator's 2nd birthday. It was put back on sale during Black Friday 2018 and has remained buyable.
Appearance
The skin is a Baryonyx made of vanilla cake batter with blue frosting on its back and lower jaw. It has rainbow sprinkles on its chin, legs, and sides of its body, and a similar miniature birthday cake on its back with D and S decorations on top of it, surrounding a ChickenEngineer cake topper. The Birthday Baryonyx is also wearing a red party hat.

Giant Albino Baryonyx, often referred to as "GAB", is the 3rd skin for Baryonyx. It was available during the 2015 Ice Age Event costing 
1,540, it was also released again during the Black Friday 2020 Event/Sale with a cost of 80,000 DNA. Giant Albino Baryonyx received a remake in Mid-2018. The skin received new roars in January 2021 along with roar animations.

The Giant Albino Baryonyx is white, it has a mostly white body with multiple grey areas on the legs and arms. The back also has a scaly hide from the tail to the head. The torso, however, is grey. When looking at the jaws, Rudy has a white upper jaw with red eyes and a grey lower jaw. Unlike the normal Baryonyx, Rudy is much chubbier than the normal Baryonyx.

The Classic Giant Albino Baryonyx has an unappealing model, it is less similar to Rudy from the movie Ice Age, and it also has orange eyes and a thinner body
Trivia
- Based on the character/creature "Rudy" from the 2009 film "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs", the roars are also taken from the film.
- The R roar audio has some elements (Roars) from the film "Jurassic Park III", the originally intended roar was also from the creature it was based on but was never added to GAB.
- A Galactic Barosaurus (At the time it was a highly demanded/valued token) was paid to supernob123 for a GAB remake.[1]
Information
The Fossil version of Baryonyx. It was added in 2017 and was obtainable during the 2017 Black Friday and 2018 Halloween Events. It was obtainable by finding a part of the model around the 2018 Default map, the same applies to the 2018 Halloween Event but it would take more parts/fossils to find the item.
Appearance
It is completely pale yellow but its pupils are floating glowing orange. When in idle animation, it looks around then its jaw hangs loose.
Trivia
- This skin was part of the Black Friday 2017 and Halloween 2017 and 2018 Events and could be obtained by finding it around the map.
