|Description:||Live during the Jurassic Period|
The Saurophaganax (soar-oh-fah-gon-axe) (lizard eater) is an allosaurid Dinosaur which lived in the Morrison Formation of North America, in the Late Jurassic Period 150 MYA. It's name means "ruler lizard eater."
Saurophaganax may actually be a species of Allosaurus (Allosaurus maximus) , due to the fossils found being very similar to a larger version of Allosaurus. There is currently not enough evidence to confirm this though.
This animal along with the rest of the allosaurids have a decent chance of having feathers due to their close relationship with coelurosauria which are the very bird like theropods that include Tyrannosaurus, Deinocheirus, Balaur, etc and the carcharodontosaurid called Concavenator possibly having quill knobs on it's arm bones.
This animal is recommended for starters. It looks threatening but its weak. This dinosaur's roar is a edited version of the Tyrannosaurus roar from the Jurassic Park film franchise.
It is purely black with half of it's face, belly, feet, and hands being grey. It has white spikes/osteoderms/scutes running on it's back, tail, and neck. It's mouth and the dent in its mouth is red in color, along with yellow eyes and red pupils. It also has white and black feathers on its arms.
- It has been confirmed by Baeblademaster that this is getting a remodel in the near future, and a remodel is already in ChickenEnginner's inventory.
- Saurophaganax is the state fossil of Oklahoma.
- Like many other old, blocky creatures, it cannot move. Unless it grows up to juvenile or adult.
